Summer Internship, EIEM (Simon, Mendel University)

This summer, I had the opportunity to complete a two-month internship at Ille Papier Service in Altenstadt. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by everyone at the company, and my experience there turned out to be both enriching and memorable.

In the first week, I had the chance to work in two different areas of the company. For three days, I worked in the warehouse, which provided a solid introduction to the company’s daily operations. I assisted with sorting, packing, and organizing products, gaining a clear understanding of the warehouse’s critical role in the business. The other two days of the week, I accompanied the service drivers on their delivery routes, helping to complete orders and observing the importance of efficiency in getting products to customers. During one of these deliveries, I even had the opportunity to visit the Deutsche Bank Park stadium, which was. unique experience.

At the beginning of the second week, I moved to the IT department where I spent the remaining time of my internship. I was given a project to work on a software module for the company’s social network. I enjoyed this project a lot because it allowed me to use my knowledge and also learn new things. Working with new technologies was both challenging and fun. I had the support of my supervisors and colleagues, who guided me whenever I needed it.

Even though I was the only person in the company who didn’t speak German, I never had any problems. My colleagues were always friendly and ready to help me with anything I needed. They explained things to me and made sure I understood what to do. This made me feel very welcome and part of the team. It was a great environment to work in, and I felt comfortable asking questions whenever I needed help.

In addition to my work duties, I had some free time to explore, and I made the most of it by discovering as much as possible in Frankfurt. It quickly became one of my favorite cities. I loved walking around, taking in the sights, and immersing myself in the city’s rich history and culture. It was a wonderful way to relax and enjoy my time outside of work.

In conclusion, my internship at Ille was a very positive experience. I learned a lot, both professionally and personally. I am very grateful to Ille and THM for providing me with this opportunity and for the ongoing support. This experience has helped me grow, and I am confident that the skills and knowledge I gained will be valuable for my future career.
